In music the notes are ordered A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. If an A has a frequency of 220 waves per second and a C has a frequency of 261 waves per second, which of the following would be the correct frequency for a B?

240.5

So basically you have to find how far it is between 220 and 261. Between them is 41. However that two jumps. From A (220) to B (?) to C (261). So you would divide 41 in half and you get 20.5. Then you add 20.5 to the 220 to get 240.5
